The Austrian manufacturer and seller of crystals and gemstones announces opening the new showroom in the Sultanate to cater to the growing demand for luxury goods.

The showroom – part of Swarovski’s larger plans for the country – was launched in partnership with Khimji Ramdas Group, the brand’s representative in the Sultanate. It is located in the new Oman Avenues Mall, the latest addition to the Omani luxury scene. The new venue features collections of crystals, gemstones and accessories. It is part of a bold expansion plan for the brand in the Sultanate.

“A brand synonymous with modernity, Swarovski caters to today’s multifaceted woman who always wants to look her best at any given moment,” says Vivek Pande, CEO at Khimji Ramdas Group.

Rohit Shah, general manager of the luxury and lifestyle division at the group, adds, “Swarovski at Oman Avenues Mall is in line with our expansion plan and judging by the encouraging feedback from our loyal and new customers, we have decided to open another exclusive boutique in City Centre Muscat very soon.”

Oman – a country with a small population – has the lowest per-capita GDP of all GCC countries. Nevertheless, the Sultanate is home to many high-net-worth individuals and is welcoming growing numbers of expats and tourists, ultimately increasing its appeal to international luxury brands.

In 2014, the Sultanate of Oman was featured in Knight Frank’s Luxury Opportunity Index, ranking third in the list of countries with the fastest-growing spending potential in the short and medium term.
