When tech meets luxury


London-based customisation specialists, Goldgenie, released Spectrum, a collection of personalised Apple Watches.

Goldgenie specialises in customising luxury items and counts celebrities such as P. Diddy, the Beckhams and Tyrese Gibson among its clientele.

While Apple already stands out in the luxury market with its 18K gold models, Goldgenie took the product to the next level. Using stainless steel, 18-carat gold, pink gold and platinum, as well as precious gems such as diamonds, the collection allows the Apple Watch to be customised into a deluxe version.

The strap was not spared the meticulous attention to detail either, customers can choose from an exotic palette of colours including Seville orange, fuchsia, green water, black, cherry red and beige. The textile can be made-to-order as well with exotic python and crocodile skins, black high-quality calf leather and harmonised natural python and crocodile skin in black or brown.

For those looking for the epitome of luxury, Goldgenie offers dazzling limited-edition models of solid 18k and rose gold editions, bejewelled with hundreds of diamonds.

Goldgenie is accepting pre-orders for their Apple Watch in sizes 38mm and 42mm.

Prices start at £2,000 (AED11,279) for the 38mm edition gold-plated stainless steel and go up to £110,000 (AED620,346) for the editions in solid 18K gold encrusted with diamonds. Cheaper editions with Swarovski crystals will be available for £3,000 (AED16,918).
