OMEGA renews partnership with Dubai Desert Classic and Ladies Masters

OMEGA renews title sponsorship deal with golf in DUBAi through 2017 (2)

OMEGA extends its title partnership agreement with Dubai Desert Classic and the Dubai Ladies Masters until 2017, according to golf in DUBAi’s announcement on June 17.

“Our association with OMEGA is deep rooted; [it] first came on board as a partner and official timekeeper, and now the partnership has grown to a whole new level, something that is a substantial upside for both organisations,” says Mohamed Juma Buamaim, vice-chairman and CEO of golf in DUBAi.

“Golf is one of the fastest-growing sports in the Middle East region, where the number of courses and the number of rounds played each year have gone up exponentially. The fact that the UAE recorded 54,365 played rounds in March 2012 demonstrates that golf in the country is truly on a growth trajectory. We are delighted to be continuing our association with the OMEGA Dubai Desert Classic and OMEGA Dubai Ladies Masters, which have played key roles in positioning the city as a major golfing destination,” says Raynald Aeschlimann, vice-president and international sales director at OMEGA.

Apart from OMEGA, Dubai Aluminium is also a sponsor of golf in DUBAi, along with CNN, Drydocks World, Maritime World, Emirates NBD, Gulf News, Mercedes-Benz and wasl.
