Luxury travel booking engine debuts

The Spanish hotel chain announces the launch of its online booking site, Meliá Pro.

Aiming at increasing business for the company’s travel partners, the luxury hotel brand’s new booking engine will offer agents its best available rates and up to 16 per cent commission on all bookings.

“Through the Meliá Pro portal, Meliá Hotels International (MHI) further strengthens its commitment to the success of our travel partners,” says Juergen Stuetz, vice-president of sales for the Americas. “By working hand in hand with travel professionals, MHI has experienced exponential growth and the key to continuing this accomplishment is by innovating the way we connect with our partners.”

Key benefits to the new portal, MHI states, include a net rate option, allowing agents to collect gross payment from clients, with a net remittance that allows agents to collect instant commission and a new loyalty programme, Meliá Pro Rewards.
