During the course of the New York Auto Show’s 2015 edition, Land Rover unveiled a new luxury version of its Range Rover model.

The British manufacturer has reinvented its flagship SUV into a luxury item, incorporating new and improved features and materials, all the while increasing its power and performance.

Dubbed SVAutobiography, the new Land Rover SUV is covered in aluminium to increase its weight, thus improving the overall driving experience. The vehicle also boasts an elongated body and is enhanced by two-toned Santorini Black paint, combined with 22-inch wheels sheltering the new Dunlop tires.

The SVAutobiography’s interior exudes comfort; Land Rover has even created “business class” seats and lined the floor with soft carpeting. In addition, the SUV also includes deployable shelves and a cooling alcove within the cabin. Aluminium is a recurring theme as the material appears again and abundantly in the interior.

Finally, the trunk of this exceptional SUV can be made to measure; its floor can be rolled out making it easier to load and unload heavy luggage. Moreover, additional seats may be added in the trunk area to increase the vehicle’s capacity.

Land Rover has equipped its new SUV model with ZF automatic transmission and a supercharged five-litre V8 engine, capable of producing 550 horsepower (hp) with a torque of 680 Newton metre (Nm), which is 40 hp and 55 Nm more than the best engine currently offered by the manufacturer.

Developed by the Special Vehicle Operations department (SVO) of Jaguar-Land Rover, the SVAutobiography will be selling for EUR200,000 (AED776,331).
