Top five recently launched Oud fragrances

International luxury brands launch Oud-based fragrances to tap into the Middle Eastern market.

 

“There is this tradition of [buying] Oud-based fragrances in the region, which is why, over the past four to five years, we have taken some of our best fragrances and launched their oud-based versions,” Alain Lorenzo, president and CEO of fragrance brands at LVMH, explains to Aficionado, sister publication of Luxurymena.com, during an interview earlier this year.

 

Luxurymena.com looks at the top five Oud-based fragrances launched this year. Here they are in no particular order:

Les Heures Voyageuses – Cartier – This trio of fragrances, consisting of Oud & Oud, Oud & Rose and Oud & Musc, focuses on the woody notes of Oud.

Eternal Oud – Kilian – Eternal Oud has notes of natural Indian Oud oil, rose and saffron.

Gucci Oud – Gucci – Gucci Oud contains notes of pear, raspberry, saffron, as well as Oud, amber and musk.
