Aston Martin unveils new Lagonda

Aston Martin launches the Lagonda Taraf, a new limited-edition, exclusive, luxury four-door super-saloon in the Middle East.

Reviving the iconic Lagonda from Aston Martin’s heritage, the luxury four-door super-saloon has been designed exclusively for the Middle East market under the name Lagonda Taraf. The manufacturer has chosen Oman roads for essential summer heat testing earlier this year to provide its customer with the best model possible.

Knowing the Middle Eastern customers’ interest in bespoke products, the brand expects a significant amount of request for Q by Aston Martin, the brand’s personalisation and customisation service. The majority of Lagondas should, according to the brand, carry the Q by Aston Martin badge, in addition to the Lagonda nameplate.

Aston Martin’s CEO, Dr Andy Palmer, says: “The Lagonda nameplate has always had a particular appeal for our customers in the Middle East, and I’m sure those who take the opportunity to purchase the new Lagonda will be proud to own what will undoubtedly go on to become a piece of luxury automotive history.”

Boasting an Aston Martin 6.0-litre V12 engine, the Lagonda Taraf will be delivered to customers in early 2015.

By reviving the iconic Lagonda exclusively for the region, Aston Martin proves just how important the Middle Eastern market is to the brand.
