New advertising campaign for Louis Vuitton features Michelle Williams

The current face of Louis Vuitton, American actress Michelle Williams, known for her roles in films such as Shutter Island, My Week with Marilyn and My Blue Valentine, is featured in a second advertising campaign for the French luxury label.

The campaign, which features three of the brand’s new bags; the new Lockit, the Capucines, and the Alma, was photographed by Peter Lindbergh and styled by Carine Roitfeld, with hair designed by Sam McKnight and make-up by Stéphane Marais.

In the campaign, the Lockit – Louis Vuitton’s modern interpretation of its classic 1950s design – is displayed by Michelle Williams, portraying a stylish and self-confident female, with nonchalant poses reflecting an understated elegance. While, for the Capucines bag images, the actress comes across to the viewer in a much more reserved and classy mood. Finally, for the Alma bag, the actress is displayed in a very playful spirit, showcasing the bag’s bright colours of Epi leather.

The campaign will break in the May 2014 issues of magazines around the world.
