MRPORTER.COM, in collaboration with British filmmaker Matthew Vaughn, will unveil menswear collection Kingsman – inspired by Vaughn’s upcoming spy film, Kingsman: The Secret Service – in September.

“I wanted to create a classic collection for the stylish man with Kingsman and I am confident that, together, we have done exactly that,” says Vaughn.

Kingsman: The Secret Service, starring Colin Firth, Samuel L Jackson, Michael Caine and Taron Egerton, will be released in October.

“Men’s styles have always been inspired by the look of leading men in films,” adds Toby Bateman, buying director at MRPORTER.COM. “This, however, is the first time that costumes for a film have been conceived with the idea of selling them to [its] audience.”

Vaughn and MRPORTER.COM teamed up with costume designer Arianne Phillips to design the 60-piece Savile Row-inspired collection, which includes suits, shirts, knitwear and accessories, and will be featured throughout the film.

“For the first time, and without compromises, film merchandising is an organic and authentic extension of the story and characters created on screen. Matthew Vaughn is an iconoclast director, in that he not only breaks the rules, but also creates new ones, which is exactly what he did when he challenged me to envision the super stylish bespoke world of Kingsman: The Secret Service,” says Phillips.
